The Cost of Orthodontics

As soon as most parents hear braces or orthodontics they immediately think of the cost.  It has been implanted in our heads that braces are expensive.  That was true many years ago.  Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying braces aren't expensive.  I'm just saying compared to the cost when we were young and before, the prices have not increased the same as all other goods and services.  Braces used to cost the same as a car!  Read that again braces price = price of a car.  Now, the great news is, that is not the same today.  I'm pretty sure you can't find any vehicle for the price of braces today.

Let's look at it another way.  With braces or orthodontics, we are typically moving 28 teeth for, we'll say approximately $6,500.  Now, if you were to get an implant which involves one tooth, your all-in cost with implant and replacement tooth is approximately $6,000- for one tooth!  A dental reconstruction, meaning crowns or dental work on all the teeth for just the top or bottom, not your whole mouth, ranges from $15,000 - $30,000.

The great news is orthodontic treatment can improve your smile, your bite, your confidence, and when you wear your retainers, can last for life!  Tell me where you else you can make that kind of investment?  The confidence gained alone is priceless!

So, the actual cost of your orthodontic treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. After your initial consultation we will know exactly what you desire- the treatment type, financial options and what Dr. Stork's recommendations are so that we can find an affordable option based on your budget.

Affordable Payment Plans

Your smile is yours forever, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to receive the best orthodontic care whenever you need it.  Dr. Stork always says, if his orthodontist wasn't flexible with him (when he was a freshman in college working 3 jobs paying for his own braces) he never would have been able to afford treatment, and he probably never would have become an orthodontist.  So, because of that Stork Orthodontics will work with you to find a plan so you can get a smile you'll love.

** Our practice accepts most major credit cards and insurance plans. **

If you have insurance that will be covering any portion of your orthodontic treatment, our team is always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork.

Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage or ideas about how we can make your entire orthodontic experience a pleasant one.

The truth is, some office make you call to find out your benefits, or file your own claims, or deal with insurance yourself.  We know how difficult and time consuming that is, and that's why our team handles all of that for you!

Payment in Full and Family Courtesy

We also know that some people like to save money, which is why we have an option to receive a courtesy when paying for your treatment in full at the start.

We also know that expenses add up with multiple children in the family (or parents too).  And just because we treated one member of the family doesn't guarantee we get to treat everyone- we have to treat you right, get you great results, and ensure every interaction is a positive one!  So just as an added thank you, after we treat one member of your family, anyone else after will receive a family courtesy.

The cost not to treat

If you just write off orthodontics as expensive and never take the time to explore how it could work for you, you may be missing out on becoming who you really are, or are meant to be.  Orthodontics changed my life (Dr. Stork here!) and I would hate for you to go through life hiding your smile.  Give my team a call and come see us for a no obligation, free consultation.  You'll be glad you did!
